What Is The
C5/C6Net?
The
C5/C6Net
is an Internet email discussion group for C5
Registry members only.
If you are not familiar with Internet e-mail groups, think of them as
electronic forum or gathering. A group e-mail address is set up, and any
email sent to this address is forwarded to all the members of the list.
At any given time there could be several "conversations"
going on at once, and you can be involved in all of them. You
can discuss upcoming and past events, share technical and sales
information. Announce trip plans, meetings, pass along tips, and discuss
problems. This is your server! But, Please post no Graphic
images to the Net, we are limited on server disk space and messages
are kept in an archive log for later or new member review - the archives
store graphics in a text type binary format, rendering them useless. The
C5/C6Net is an open forum, and rules are acceptable social behavior. Foul
Language and Personal Attacks, will not be tolerated, and will result in
immediate removal from the list.
What about Privacy?
Many of you have asked for a way to share
information without the rest of the Internet involved, the
C5/C6Net
is your answer. Like the "VetteNet" and
"ZR1Net" the
C5/C6Net
is an e-mail list server, unlike the two previously mentioned
"Nets" only C5 Registry
members may belong. The
C5/C6Net
is just as secure and private as anything. Only members of The C5/C6
Registry may access it and then only after the list
master has personally approved their subscription. Messages
only go to members subscribed on the list. But remember that information
has a way of getting disseminated.
